Valeriya Kutsan - photo gallery Bodypaint

When we think of facial bodypaint (Facepainting), we usually think of clowns, fairies and kids dressed up as zombies for Halloween. We do not think to this as an art.

Valeriya Kutsan shows that there is nothing trivial in face painting. The human face can be an unsurpassed canvas if one demonstrates great skill.

For proof, look no further than the latest series of Kutsan, "2D or not 2D". She is associated with photographer Alexander Khoklov and post-processing specialist Veronica Ershova. Kutsan has used a breathtaking techniques to paint the faces of the models, all this to resemble the two-dimensional works of famous artists of the 20th century.

"2D or not 2D" is not the first collaboration of Kutsan with Khoklov. The team has already worked for a series of monochrome prints called strange beauty in which Kushan paints the faces of the models with white paint and then creates complex reliefs in black.
